Synopsis:
The father of Danny McCord is shot and killed by Monk Naddo. However, there is insufficient evidence to convict Naddo. Danny tries to join the police force in order to gather more evidence against his father's killer. However, he is rejected because he does not meet the height and weight requirements for the job.

Dr. Mid-Nite learns of Danny's plight. He helps Danny to uncover Monk's secret hideout. After Monk is arrested, the police commissioner offers to make Danny a police officer despite his limitations. Danny decides to help the war effort and vows to join the military instead.
