Synopsis:
Bright-Sky-After-Storm, who will one day be known as Arak, joins his stepfather Proud Elk in the capture of fish. Bright-Sky and other boys chase the fish downstream into baskets held by Proud Elk and the adults. Bright-Sky throws a rock which smashes Proud Elk's basket. He is upset with the boy, until White Owl points out that there was a deadly serpent in the basket. By throwing the rock Bright-Sky actually saved Proud Elk's life. Also in the basket is a turtle which is a good omen.
