Synopsis:
After defeating a group of assassins Arak unmasks the attackers who have serpent heads. Josephus, who was wounded in the attack, tells Arak to find the sword of Gabriel. Followed by Abu Jahl and Alsind, the Quontaukan begins searching the city. Using his newfound shaman instincts, Arak tells Abu's men where to dig. They uncover an underground chamber.
Inside the chamber, Arak finds the sword. After taking possession of it a giant snake man attacks. A battle is fought with Arak winning in the end. As the snake man dies, the image of the Lord of Serpents appears in flames. Alsind's mother shoves her son and Sharizad into the fires, and they disappear. The Lord of Serpents then demands that Arak trade the sword for the lives of his friends.
