Synopsis:
An auto circus comes to Gotham City. Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson attend and witness stunt driver Lucky Hooton injured in a crash. Batman offers to replace Hooton in the show while the driver recuperates.

Batman disguises himself as Hooton and returns to the circus. He is then threatened by criminal Iron-Jaw Briggs. Batman realizes that Hooton's crash was not an accident. He tracks down Briggs and ties him to a stolen car gang operating inside the circus. The crooks try to kill him twice. Batman avoids death, then uses the Batmobile to hunt down the escaping gang.
