Synopsis:
In the jungle of South America, Professor Lang uncovers the lost temple of Itzamna. He and his daughter Lana open the sealed temple only to discover the body of Superboy entombed inside. Professor Lang immediately concludes that the Boy of Steel from Smallville is a fraud. Lana defends her hero and summons him to the temple.

When Superboy arrives Professor Lang accuses him of lying about this identity. Superboy then explains. He traveled back in time where he met the mayans. King Quetzl mistook him for the god Itzamna. Superboy then helped the mayans defend themselves from Spanish conquerors. However, his continued presence led the mayans to depend upon him, so Superboy staged his own death. After faking an assassination, Superboy created a dummy to take his place. The dummy was then sealed in the tomb where it was discovered by Professor Lang.

The professor does not believe Superboy's story and demands proof. Superboy then has Lang check the cape of the dummy which was caught in a mousetrap when it was taken from Superboy's 20th Century lab. The existence of the mousetrap proves Superboy's story and convinces Lang that Superboy is telling the truth. Superboy then reseals the temple and buries it again to protect its secrets.
