Synopsis:
Superboy celebrates the anniversary of his arrival on Earth with his foster parents. However, the Boy of Steel is depressed because an alien space probe is nearing Earth and will ultimately cause the Earth to explode. Superboy was unable to stop the probe with his super powers.

To cheer him up, Jonathan Kent tells him a story that took place when Superboy was Superbaby. As a child, Superbaby wanted to play with a giant globe. Martha bought him a small one, which Superbaby blew up with his super breath. The babe of steal then flew to the moon to paint it with his paint set. When he ran out of paint, he returns to Earth and began blowing into volcanoes with his super breath. This cause earthquakes and worldwide disasters. Eventually, Superbaby ended the destruction of his own making and returned home when he smelled Martha's pancakes.

Inspired by the story, Superboy comes up with a way to defeat the space probe. He constructs a giant iron sphere and paints it to look like the Earth. He uses it as a decoy to attract the probe. When the probe collides with the sphere it explodes, but the Earth remains unharmed.
