Synopsis:
While driving Clark Kent to school Pa Kent crashes his car. Clark then discovers his father has been replaced by a robot. Superboy is able to reset the robot, so that it forgets the accident. He also discovers that two other Smallville residents have been replaced, Lana Lang and Mr. Driscoll.

To uncover the reason behind the robot replacements, Superboy goes back in time one day where he witnesses their abduction by aliens. The aliens are actually robots on a dying world and plan to come to Earth to escape. The three replacements serve as a test run. Superboy then returns to the present and tricks the robots. The aliens believe their experiment has failed and recall their replacements. The human abductees are sent back to Earth. Superboy then saves the alien world so as not to tempt them into planning another invasion.
