Synopsis:
After a spectacular art heist, Lex Luthor heads for Midvale to secretly spy on his sister Lena and his nephew Val Colby. Luthor learns that Val has developed telekinetic powers due to his exposure to a space jewel that Lex gave him as a birthday gift. When Val nearly drops a car on himself, Lex is forced to come out of hiding to save his nephew. Supergirl then apprehends him, but she keeps his relationship to Val and Lena a secret.

After Lex is returned to prison, he plans another escape. When his plan fails, Luthor is placed in a special cell. The news is broadcast on television and seen by Val Colby. Val uses his powers to break Lex out of jail. Lex then directs him into international waters where Supergirl can't stop him. He then escorts Val to a secret base where Luthor intends to use his nephew against his enemies.
