This story is continued from the second story of Adventure Comics #387.

Synopsis:
Lex Luthor has taken his nephew Val Colby to a secret lair on an island in international waters. Lex begins using Val's telekinetic powers for crime. Supergirl learns about the island from Lena Thorul whose telepathic powers allow her to locate her son.

Supergirl arrives on the island and discovers the lair is full of Kryptonite bricks. She decides to land on the island disguised as Linda Danvers pretending to be a shipwreck survivor. Linda earns Val's trust. Then, while Luthor is away, she enters the lair and teaches Val to use Luthor's Imago-Helmet. When Luthor returns Val has created several monsters uses the helmet. Supergirl rescues Lex from the monsters. She then pushes the entire island back into U.S. waters. As a result of using the Imago-Helmet, Val's telekinetic powers are lost.
