Synopsis:
District attorney Harvey Dent becomes unhinged after he is unable to secure a conviction against Rudolph Klemper, a confessed serial killer, due to lack of evidence. Dent reaches out to Batman. Working together the D.A. and the vigilante are able to secure convictions against a number of criminals. Boss Vincent Maroni is their next target. In court, Maroni throws acid in Harvey's face, disfiguring him.

When Harvey awakens in the hospital, his unhinged mind worsens. He begins using a two-headed coin with a scarred side to determine his actions. This leads him to murder Adrian Fields, a corrupt district attorney who replaced him. Harvey then tracks down his own father whose abuse was responsible for Harvey's mental state. Batman arrives to stop Harvey, but Harvey's coin had already prevented another murder.

Harvey is sent to Arkham Asylum and his face is repaired. However, his mind is still damaged. Harvey destroys his face again and continues his criminal life as Two-Face.
