Prey:Part Three
This story is continued from Legends of the Dark Knight #12 and continues in Legends of the Dark Knight #14.
Synopsis:
Hugo Strange hypnotizes Maxwell Cort and coerces him into taking up a costumed identity as the vigilante named Night-Scourge. His tactics are more direct and brutal than Batman's. Strange then convinces the media that Batman is to blame for the copy-cat vigilante.
Cort spots the Catwoman one night and goes after her as Night-Scourge. He surprises and nearly kills her. Batman intervenes, confirming for Cort the untrue allegation that Batman and Catwoman are partners. Cort escapes when Selina hits Batman from behind.
Later, Cort wears a Batman costume and kidnaps the mayor's daughter. The real Batman is blamed.
