Synopsis:
Three magic items are stolen from Mark Merlin's home. Shortly thereafter a thief in the guise of a spectre robs a train. Another strange spectral robbery leads Mark to conclude that his magic items are being used to create the illusions of the ghosts. When a third robbery takes place, Mark is able to follow the crook. He catches the man, Cathcart, a swindler Mark has dealt with in the past.
