Synopsis:
While visiting the lab of Professor Hearn, Mark Merlin checks out a nearby disturbance. A strange crystalline creature has emerged from a mountain. The creature possesses powerful destructive energy and seems unstoppable. Professor Hearn sends his robot assistant to battle the creature. The robot neutralizes the creature by absorbing the energy. However, the professor then loses control of the robot.

A large gun is brought in to shoot the robot. Before it can be used, Mark and the professor regain control of the robot. Mark stops the gun from destroying the robot, which then releases the energy it contains into a second creature. The robot returns to normal, and both creatures are defeated.
