Synopsis:
Arthur Parrish, the son of a jewel expert, wishes he could meet Superman. He writes a letter to the Man of Steel and places it inside a hollow tree. The letter is picked up by a crow and carried a short distance before it is found by a farm hand.

The farm hand decides to use the boy's wish to rob his father's safe. Disguised as Superman, the crook tricks Arthur into letting him inside the house. The imposter then breaks open the safe and steals the jewels inside. Arthur is then heartbroken because he believes Superman is a thief.

Superman learns of Arthur's plight, but he is unable to convince the boy of his innocence. Superman goes undercover to find the stolen jewels, but his search turns up nothing. He finally traces the path of the letter and finds the criminal farm hand. Superman recovers the jewels, and Arthur's faith in his hero is restored.
