The Janus Directive Part 7
This story is continued from Manhunter #14 and continues in Suicide Squad #29.
Synopsis:
The new Firestorm decides to make it his mission to protect the environment. His first task is to confront James Hancock Finch, the head of Vandermeer Steel. Firestorm makes threats toward Finch to get him to stop polluting the air. Finch responds by contacting other industry leaders to create their own meta-humans.
When Firehawk sees Firestorm she flies up to meet him. She learns about the new Firestorm matrix and that Ronnie Raymond is gone forever. However, this new Firestorm does have an emotional connection to Lorraine.
Firehawk then learns that the Parasite has escaped. When she tries to stop him, the villain steals her powers. Firestorm intercedes. The Parasite is unable to steal Firestorm's power and is easily defeated. Lorraine stops the elemental from killing the Parasite. Simon LaGrieve then enlists Firestorm to help thwart an attack at Belle Reve.
