Comments:
This story serves as a transition issue as the Wonder Woman of Earth-1 and Wonder Woman of Earth-2 meet. Subsequent issues now follow the story of the Earth-2 Wonder Woman.

The Earth-2 portion of this story is said to take place in 1943. However, other stories published during this era place these events as occurring in 1942. Wonder Woman #243, which features a flashback to this story, claims that these events occurred in 1941. It shall therefore be assumed that these events happened in 1942 which is the most consistent with the surrounding continuity.

This story continues in Wonder Woman #229.

Synopsis:
In the skies above the Kennedy Airport in New York, a strange aircraft suddenly appears. It nearly strikes a jet which is taking off. The pilot evades the collision, but the jet's engines stall. Wonder Woman is in the area and saves the jet with her magic lasso, allowing it time to recover and restart its engines.

The Amazon then investigates the strange plane which has Nazi markings. Inside is Helmut Streicher, a Nazi known as the Red Panzer. The Nazi invented the plane to take him into the future where he can alter the outcome of World War II. However, he overshot his target date of June 6, 1944 by decades and arrived in the 1970s.

The Red Panzer is surprised to find Wonder Woman in this time period. He claims to have encountered her in World War II. As the Amazon and Nazi battle on his ship, a grappler beam appears and drags them back into the past. Wonder Woman is then thrown off, and the Panzer escapes.

Wonder Woman finds herself stranded in Washington D.C. in 1943. She quickly discovers that she has also been transported to Earth-2 where her counterpart was active during the war with the Justice Society. The two Wonder Women soon meet and compare notes before assaulting the Panzer's hideout. Inside they find his ship which the Earth-1 Wonder Woman uses to return to her own time and dimension.

The Earth-2 Wonder Woman then locates the Red Panzer and battles him. She wins the fight and subdues the Nazi with her magic lasso. However, the grappler beam was activated during the fight. It retrieves the Panzer's ship from the future once again after the Earth-1 Wonder Woman has exited. The return of the ship surprises Wonder Woman who is knocked down when it collides with her. The Red Panzer is then able to free himself and is ready to renew the fight.
