Synopsis:
Robin meets Horace a boy genius inventor. Robin helps Horace get a job working as a printer to pay for the development of his latest secret invention. The young inventor earns distinction after he redesigns the printing press for better production.

Gangster Gumdrop Gates learns that Horace's next invention will help Batman and Robin fight crime. He breaks into the boy's lab, but Horace and Robin outwit the crook. Horace then completes his invention, x-ray glasses. Using the glasses he accidentally sees through Robin's mask. Fortunately, Robin was prepared and is wearing a phony face underneath. Horace then creates a special antidote that will prevent the x-ray glasses from seeing through Robin's mask again.
