Synopsis:
A group of convicts is shipped from England to the New World. During the trip the prisoners escape. Disguised as silversmiths, the convicts enter the town of Cornwall. They offer the townspeople a chance to make a silver bell if they provide the silver. Tomahawk helps gather the silver and delivers it to the phony smiths.
Dan Hunter is suspicious of one of the smiths, so he watches them. He discovers that the convicts intend to steal the town's silver instead of making a bell. Dan is caught by the crooks, then the thieves escape.
Tomahawk rescues Dan then they pursue the thieves. Tomahawk leads them into the den of a cougar. The crooks drop the silver and run into the wilderness. Tomahawk retrieves the silver and takes it to an honest smith who casts it into a bell for Cornwall.
