Synopsis:
Both Dr. Weerd and the Needle try to steal a painting called "The Assassin" that is being shipped to John Pemberton. When the Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy stop the robberies, the crooks decide to join forces to steal it. Each crook plans to double-cross the other after the painting is stolen.

The Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy prevent another attempted robbery. They then turn their opponents against each other. Pinazzi, the art dealer who delivered the painting, also tries to steal it while working with Dr. Weerd. The theft fails again due to the Star-Spangled Kid. The Kid then unmasks and captures Pinazzi, but the Needle and Dr. Weerd both escape.
