Synopsis:
The Wyoming Kid aka Johnny Jones rides into a western town looking for an old friend Matt Lance. Another friend, Hank Peavey, informs Johnny that Matt is in jail for theft.

The Wyoming Kid breaks Matt out of jail. While the town sheriff organizes a posse to pursue them, Johnny stops running and tells Matt why he broke him out of jail. Johnny is convinced that Matt killed their former friend Bud Haskins. Lance denies the charges, but after beating the Kid in a fist-fight, he admits to the murder.

Lance then tries to kill Johnny, but his gun isn't loaded. Johnny was feigning injury to force a confession. Hank Peavey reveals himself from hiding, having overheard the confession. When the sheriff arrives, Matt is taken into custody for murder.
