Synopsis:
The Roving Ranger receives a letter from his friend Charlie Knight, a bank teller in Salt Flats. The letter explains that Knight believes he is about to be killed by Fred Forbes and requests that Jeff find his killer. The ranger rides to Salt Flats and encounters a band of outlaws led by a masked leader. Charlie has also been murdered as he predicted. The Roving Ranger deduces that the crooks plan to rob the bank and stops them. He then implicates bank president Lyle Loring as a conspirator in the crime. Jeff has known all along that the letter he received was a fake that Loring had sent in order to frame Forbes for Knight's murder.
