This is the first in a series of imaginary tales written by Alfred in which Dick Grayson has grown to adulthood and become Batman II. Bruce Wayne, Jr., the imaginary son of Batman and Batwoman, becomes Robin II.
A sequel to this story appears in the second story of Batman #135.
Synopsis:
While testing out a new typewriter, Alfred concocts a tale of the future. In the story Batman has retired with his wife Kathy Kane, alias Batwoman. Dick Grayson has taken over the role of his mentor, as Batman II. Bruce’s son, Bruce Wayne Jr. becomes the new Robin.
Batman II trails some thieves back to their hideout and leaves a message for Robin II. Robin II arrives to rescue the new Batman, but both are recaptured by the crooks. Batman and Batwoman arrive to help the younger heroes and capture the gang.
