Synopsis:
Chester plays host to a jazz band that he met in Gotham. The band is in Houma for Mardi Gras. An ax murderer is also in town claiming victims. He is driven by a parasitic creature who feeds off the souls of the victims. In return, the killer's ax plays musical notes forming a song. The killer gives the ax to the band leader to play during the Mardi Gras festival.
When Tefe begins crying, Abby wanders away from the festival. The killer sees her and tries to kill her. Swamp Thing stops the murderer and saves Abby. He then travels to the spiritual realm of the parasite. He wounds it which draws the attention of two more creatures. They apologize for the behavior of the evil one and take responsibility. Swamp Thing then returns to the Earth realm and punishs the band leader for cooperating with the killer.
