Synopsis:
Athier, a pregnant Glazzonion Green Lantern, stops a group of Coltan Raiders from attacking the Zymians. Unfortunately one of the ships explodes, critically injuring Athier. As she lays dying she gives birth to her baby while her power ring seeks out a successor.

The Glazzonions and Zymians are traditional enemies. A Zymian whose mate was killed by falling debris from the raiders' ship is chosen by the ring and brought to Athier's side. She agrees to put aside the natural hatred for the Glazzonion. She accepts the ring and takes care of Athier's child.
