Synopsis:
The police question the Doom Patrol in the aftermath of their battle with Shrapnel. Robotman offers to assist the police in apprehending the super-villain. Lt. Mitchell promises to contact the team when Shrapnel is found.

Shrapnel hears news reports warning citizens about him. He wants to complete his assignment and leave town as quickly as possible. He enters the office of executive Walter Williamson, his target. Shrapnel has an unrevealed history with Williamson and tells the man that he almost took the job for free. Shrapnel then murder the executive and exits the building.

The police are waiting outside, and the Doom Patrol is summoned. In the ensuing battle several members of the team are wounded. Wayne is the only one who can fight, since his power prevents him from being targeted. Shrapnel escapes after a roof collapses, leaving authorities with the cleanup.

When the Doom Patrol return home, they are greeted by protesters who have been paid to picket the team's presence in Kansas City.
