Comments:
This story is continued from Firestorm Annual #5.

Synopsis:
When a nuclear strike fails to kill Firestorm, the army is ordered to attack using conventional weapons. Firestorm defeats the forces arrayed against him, but he does not kill them. Eventually the attack is called off. Firestorm is then granted amnesty and told that disarmament talks will resume. He is asked to wait until 1990 for both sides to reach an agreement. Firestorm agrees to the truce, then fissions.

In Russia, Mikhail Arkadin arrives in his home. He tells his wife he has no memory of anything after the nuclear strike. However, he knows that he is now part of Firestorm. Ronnie returns to his parents home. He explains that he is no longer in control of Firestorm's body and that he believes that Stein is gone.
