Synopsis:
In his dressing room at the Ferris hangar, Green Lantern combs his hair and discovers a piece of unknown metal in it. Upon thinking about it, he believes it may be connected to the time when his ring mysteriously ran out of power.

In the year 5702, Chairman of the Solar Council, Dasor and his assistant Iona Vane recall how they brought Green Lantern into the future to serve as the Solar Director two years ago. They decide to bring him back to stop another menace which threatens their world. They transport GL to their time and implant memories into his mind. Then they explain the menace to GL.

Three rebel generals have formed a rebel force called the Junta. The Junta has placed Star City under siege. Green Lantern orders the troops to engage the enemy force but they are driven back. Green Lantern flys off to confront the rebels himself. On the way he passes a statue of himself that was erected to honor his past success. GL makes short work of the trio of generals, but they can not explain why they rose against the council.

Green Lantern returns to the offices to think about the situation and is interrupted by Aldebaran, a magician. Aldebaran attempts to impress GL by performing a card trick, but GL is too busy and sends the magician away in a huff. Later when questioning the generals further, he discovers they have no memory after they came into contact with Aldebaran. GL is convinced Aldebaran is behind the rebellion and hunts him down.

Realizing that he has been found out, Aldebaran turns his machine, that controlled the generals, on Green Lantern. GL lands but is unable to pursue his foe. Instead, he uses the power ring to animate his statue. The statue bursts in on Aldebaran and captures him. With the threat ended, Green Lantern is transported back to his own time, and his memory erased. When he is returned he finds the metal piece in his hair which came from his statue. He is puzzled by it’s appearance but due to his memory loss is unable to discern it’s origins.
