Comments:
Based on Carter Hall's ability to receive messages from Justice League members in this story, it should be assumed that he has already joined the Justice League before this story begins. Therefore, chronologically, this story occurs after the events of Hawkman's Justice League induction depicted in Justice League of America #31.
Synopsis:
While attending an international fair, Flash and Martian Manhunter encounter a mutant alien android that possesses the powers of the Justice League. The android was created on the planet Argon, but a lab accident caused it to become a menace.
The heroes find it difficult to defeat the android who has turned its space capsule into a powerful bomb. J'onn flies to Argon where he learns the origin of the creature. When he returns he convinces Hawkgirl to masquerade as the queen of Argon, Tatania.
Hawkgirl tries to persuade the android to return to Argon, but the android deciphers her disguise. Just as the android plans to detonate the bomb, the real Tatania arrives, having been persuaded by J'onn. The mutant android destroys itself for the queen, saving Earth from the deadly bomb.
