Synopsis:
When Jim Tellum, a radio announcer, is murdered, Alan Scott seeks a job at the Apex Broadcasting Studio where he can look for clues. He meets Irene Miller there who clues him in to a toothpaste company. They investigate, only to be captured by a smuggling gang. Alan escapes using his power ring and stops the gang. He traces them back to Gates, the studio head and leader of the gang. He captures Gates and forces a confession, then he returns to rescue Irene. To repay his efforts on behalf of the studio, Alan is given a job working for Apex.
