Synopsis:
Weng Chan, the current CEO of Blackhawk Express, is asked by his board of directors to personally fly a cargo shipment to South America. His plane is shot down over the country of Sumango ruled by dictator Colonel Diaz. The Colonel captured the plane, its pilots, passenger Clay Kendall, and its cargo.
Back in the United States, Hal Jordan and Dinah Lance have lunch. Hal is attempting to put his life back together. Dinah convinces him to look up his old friend Clay. Hal learns from Clay's girlfriend April, that his friend is now missing. Hal decides to investigate as Green Lantern. Black Canary also joins the search.
Green Lantern traces the plane to Sumango where he finds the crash site, but none of the passengers. A giant pink energy creature is seen in the nearby jungle. While Black Canary fights several soldiers under the command of Diaz, Green Lantern fights the creature. He loses the fight, but before he goes down he wills his power ring to seek out help.
The ring reaches Clark Kent in Metropolis. This brings Superman to the rescue. While Superman battles the energy creature, Black Canary and Weng Chan stage an escape from the prison. They fight their way to the complex where Diaz is controlling the energy creature. Green Lantern regains consciousness, gets his ring back and aids Superman. The energy creature is finally defeated when Weng Chan pulls the plug in the control complex. Without the creature to protect him Diaz is defeated by the heroes.
