Synopsis:
Hitman Willy Hargreaves stands on the ledge of a building prepared to jump. Superman is in position to catch him, so Hargreaves grabs Inspector Henderson and holds him at gunpoint. He also admits to the murder of Max Carter. Superman agrees to leave the scene if Hargreaves releases Henderson. When the killer complies, Superman leaves.

Gangbuster then appears on the scene and grabs Hargreaves. He threatens to drop the hitman off the ledge. The stunt convinced Hargreaves to surrender and come in off the ledge. Gangbuster's success carries favor with the media, but Superman doesn't like his methods.

Meanwhile at the DNA Project, Dubbilex monitors an alien ship entering Earth's atmosphere in advance of an alien invasion.
