Synopsis:
Batman and Robin discover evidence at two crime scenes that link Bruce Wayne to the crimes. Bruce has been hypnotized by Jacques Venta, a former criminal now posing as a botanist. Venta wants revenge against Wayne for his capture in Paris years earlier.

Bruce eventually realizes that Venta is behind the crimes. When the effects of the hypnosis begin to wear off, Venta tries to renew the effect with the fumes of a special orchid. Bruce filters the smell, then pretends to be under Venta's control. At the next crime scene, Bruce confesses to Robin to lull Venta into overconfidence. Batman and Robin then trick the real crooks into confessing and apprehend them.
