Synopsis:
While conducting an interview with a playwright about his new play, Lois Lane stops a robbery by pretending to be a crook herself. The director is impressed with her acting and offers her the lead in the play. Lois takes the part and gives up her job as a reporter.

Later, the playwright is murdered. The suspect is politician John Randolph, whom the play is indirectly about. However, Lois discovers the play was financed by Joe Corcoran, Randolph's rival. She goes to question Corcoran and misses her role in the play. Corcoran admits to killing the writer and attempts to kill Lois. Superman arrives in time to save Lois and apprehend Corcoran. Afterward Randolph is released, and Lois returns to the Daily Planet.
