Comments:
The Cheetah appears here and in Wonder Woman #6. This story went on sale first which makes this her true first appearance. However, Wonder Woman #6 clearly takes place chronologically before this one.
Synopsis:
When a navy submarine is stolen, the Cheetah is the prime suspect. Wonder Woman reveals that she allowed Priscilla Rich to return to America to release her slaves and make restitution. When the Amazon investigates the submarine robbery, she learns that one of Priscilla's slave girls has become the Cheetah. Wonder Woman then leaves to pursue the new Cheetah without knowing that Priscilla is still under the influence of her other personality.
The Cheetah lures Wonder Woman and Etta Candy to the submarine and captures them. Wonder Woman pretends to dance poorly as a captive, so that the Cheetah will feel superior. The inner conflict causes Priscilla to crash the sub. Wonder Woman then breaks free and takes the sub back to the Navy. Priscilla confesses that she is still the Cheetah and is taken to Reform Island for reformation.
