Wounded gangster Bugs Conklin kidnaps Dr. Davenport, a surgeon. To ensure that Davenport cooperates, the crooks also kidnap Davenport's daughter Marjory. Dick Grayson notices Marjory's absence when he attempts to pick her up for a date. Dr. Davenport slips a coded message to Dick to bring help.
Dick contacts Batman, then tries to rescue Marjory as Robin. He fails and Batman is captured too, but Robin breaks free. He gives Batman enough time to recover, then together they apprehend Bugs and his gang. Marjory and her father are saved, but Marjory is now enamored with Robin instead of Dick.
