Synopsis:
Hal Rand offers to adopt Jimmy Olsen who believes his own father dead. Superman interrupts the adoption with evidence that Mark Olsen is still alive. Jimmy and Hal are taken to the Yucatan by Superman where they find Jimmy's father held captive by a tribe of Mayans. Superman can not approach because the indians have Gold Kryptonite weapons.

Jimmy and Hal attempt a rescue, but they are caught. Jimmy is forced to choose between saving Hal or his own father. Jimmy chooses Hal when he realizes that the natives would not hurt his real father. Jimmy then concocts a ruse to trick the natives. With Superman's help, the tribe lets them go. Jimmy, Mark, and Hal are then taken back to Metropolis.
