Synopsis:
While testing a new plane for Ferris Aircraft, Hal Jordan is attacked in the sky by a flying man in a circus costume. The man calling himself the Aerialist destroys the plane and vows vengeance upon the Ferris family. Hal parachutes back to the ground and informs Carol of the accident. Carol deduces that the man is Otto Fisher, who lost his love Elke Henson in a tragic accident. Fisher blames the Ferris family for her death.

When the Aerialist strikes again, Hal intervenes as Green Lantern. Fisher is ready for GL and uses a specially prepared gold mask that allows control of GL's mind through electro-static energy. The Aerialist plans to force Green Lantern to destroy the Ferris house, but first he explains his warped logic. While Fisher announces his plan, GL builds up static electricity on the carpet. The charge allows him to break the control of the mask. He then defeats the Aerialist, turning him in to authorities for mental help.
