This story features an early mention of S.T.A.R. Research Divisions which was introduced in Superman #246.

Synopsis:
Ralph Dibny observes a young boy, Timmy Dennison, conjure a money tree from the ground. Ralph takes the boy home to his father, the unscrupulous business man Victor Dennison. Victor takes the money from his son, but he fails to give the boy the attention he desires. Victor then throws the Elongated Man out.

Ralph analyzes the money when he returns home. He finds that it is poisoned. The Elongated Man reaches Victor in time to save his life. They then stage his death to get the poisoner to reveal himself. It's the man who taught Timmy to conjure the money tree. The man snatches Timmy, but the Elongated Man saves the day.
