Synopsis:
Mark Merlin and Elsa are captured by an alien. They are brought to the planet Yx'rod, where scientists show them that the Earth has exploded. The alien, Ryn Stoog, claims to have saved Mark and Elsa from the destruction. Ryn is awarded a scientific honor for the discovery.

Mark is given a tour of the planet by Stoog's assistant, Nol Fleer. Mark soon discovers evidence to suggest that the Earth's destruction was faked. Authorities arrest Stoog, then Mark realizes it was Fleer who set up his boss. Mark exposes Fleer, who was working with Stoog's rival Tew Nuub. Since the Earth was not destroyed after all, Stoog returns Mark and Elsa to Earth.
