This story features two topper strips entitled "Why Big Brothers Leave Home". These represent Scribbly's comic strip and are based on ideas sent in by fans.

Synopsis:
Scribbly gets his cartoon published in the newspaper. His friends fight one another for the honor of being his best friend. However when the fight is over, the boys blame Scribbly for their bruises. Later, Mr. Barlowe takes Scribbly to the newspaper office. He instructs one of his writers to write an article about the boy to boost circulation.
