Synopsis:
Mr. V, the leader of Vulture, summons Marco Xavier to a meeting. He shows Xavier films on the Martian Manhunter in action. Each time J'onn is weakened temporarily. Mr. V instructs Xavier to find the cause of the weakness.

Since Xavier is really the Manhunter he is hesistant to tell Mr. V the truth. However, he realizes that they will figure it out eventually anyway, so he reveals that Manhunter is weakened by fire. Mr. V then prepares a special opponent to defeat J'onn using the new information.

As Xavier, J'onn then informs Vulture that the Manhunter will be attending a party held by Baron Du Marchal. J'onn is expecting the trap and is prepared. When the robot opponent with fire inside attacks, J'onn is able to avoid it until he can lure it into the pool where the flames are extinguished. With the Manhunter winning the battle, Mr. V is convinced that Xavier was wrong about J'onn weakness to fire.
