Synopsis:
Three crooks steal a safe from the Ajax Securities Company. One of the crooks is dressed as the Atom causing police to suspect him of the crime. The real Atom investigates in order to clear his name. He sees a circus strongman named Hercules who could have lifted the safe. Before he can question the strongman, Hercules is shot. Al Pratt tries to catch the killer, but police catch him instead believing him to be the murderer.

Al escapes from custody and continues to investigate the circus as the Atom. Lucille the lion-tamer had lied to police, so he watches her. He then overhears Lucille and her accomplice admit their involvment. Lucille traps Atom and the man in a lion cage. When Atom gets them free, Lucille's accomplice confesses. He admits that both Atom and Al were framed.
