Synopsis:
While experimenting with Kryptonite in hopes of finding a cure, Superboy is exposed to a strange gas. The next evening when he is exposed to moonlight, he turns evil and causes trouble as a hooded outlaw. When the hood is removed, he returns to normal.

The next evening the same thing happens. Eventually he discovers that the moonlight is triggering the effects. He asks his parents to use Kryptonite to seal him in his room the next night.

When the moonlight returns, Superboy is not affected this time. The effects of the gas have worn off. However, his parents will not let him out to deal with a distant emergency. He uses his X-ray vision to disable a plane nearby, forcing his parents to free him in hopes that he will save the plane. He does, and also the other disaster is prevented.
