Synopsis:
Professor Lang discovers an idol with a strange curse attached. The color green causes it to alter the weather. When Clark Kent wears a green tie near the idol a heat wave ensues. Next Professor Lang wears green causing the idol to start a cold snap. Finally, a third exposure to green causes severe lightning storms.

Superboy tries to neutralize the idol's influence by following the words of the curse. He tries to create a living rainbow. His own costume eventually neutralizes the idol's power. He then removes the idol's eyes, which contain scientifically advanced parts powered by radium.
