Synopsis:
A movie crew restores an recently unearthed mediterranean city. The filming of their movie is interrupted by several strange occurrances, leading the producer Mr. Hanson to call in the assistance of Mark Merlin.

Mark discovers that an ancient vault has been opened. Inside he finds a sentry named Junius who was sealed in suspended animation to guard against a group of stone-eating butterflies held within the vault. The butterflies escape and begin destroying the city. Junius and Mark lure the creatures back into the vault, but the ancient sentry is killed in the process.
