Synopsis:
Superboy is approached by a Kryptonian exile, Klax-Ar. Klax-Ar was exiled for his evil ways and claims to have been responsible for the destruction of the planet. He used a device which created Atron-rays. The rays destroyed the planet.

Klax-Ar uses another such device to imperil the Earth. Superboy is unable to stop the device. He conceeds to Klax-Ar’s demand to join the villain in space, in exchange for disarming the device.

Once in space however, Superboy is revealed to be a robot. He tricked Klax-Ar when he realized that Klax-Ar’s super-strength was gone. The villain had not been responsible for the destruction of his home planet, but the Atron-rays had removed his powers. Klax-Ar continues his exile aboard his ship with the Superboy robot.
