Synopsis:
The Challengers follow a strange birdman to a previously undiscovered island. The island is inhabited by five scientists that have been transformed into mutants by atomic radiation. The scientists are gathering creatures that should be extinct, but have somehow cheated death. The mutants have lured the Challengers to the island to make them an exhibit.

The Challengers attempt to escape by releasing a dinosaur from captivity. However, the mutants stop the attempted escape. Rather than become an exhibit, Prof offers to become a mutant himself by subjecting himself to radiation. He hopes the change will allow him to free his friends, but his mind is warped in the process. Ace reverses the process, restoring Prof to normal. It also causes an explosion which causes the island to be destroyed and sink back into the ocean. The Challs escape just in time.
