Synopsis:
When Joe Gomez rescues Lana from an underwater accident, she begins to suspect that Joe is Superboy. Clark allows Lana's suspicions to continue and even makes it look like Joe is secretly performing rescues. Lana begins dating Joe and leaving Clark alone.

Meanwhile, Joe is contacted to perform some dangerous underwater diving missions because the rumor that he is Superboy has circulated. Superboy secretly helps Joe complete his missions, before appearing at the same time as the other boy. The suspicions about Joe are put to rest. Clark then reveals to Pa Kent that he allowed Lana to suspect Joe to prevent her from spying on him while there was construction work outside the Kent house.
