Synopsis:
Lana Lang's parents go missing and are presumed dead while on an exploring trip to Africa. Lana is sent to live with Silas Creech who is appointed her new guardian. Silas expects to have access to Lana's money, but then learns that he must wait until the Lang's are officially declared dead.

The Creech's try to make life miserable for Lana and force her to leave. Superboy helps to make Lana's life more bearable, but she refuses to leave on her own. Superboy eventually finds the Langs alive and well. Lana is sent home. Before she leaves she finds an embarassing picture of herself that she lost in the Creech home. She hadn't wanted to leave their custody without it for fear that they would show it to everyone to embarass her.
