The teenagers of Smallville embrace the fad of flying. They all learn to fly small private places and begin flying everywhere. Crime boss Badger Burke wants to discourage the flights because he fears that his criminal operations will be seen from the air. Burke sabotages several planes and tries to have the kids grounded.
In order to protect the kids Superboy also grounds himself. He still watches from above with a mirrored balloon. He finds Burke's operation and apprehends the crook. With the source of the sabotage exposed, the kids return to their planes and can fly again.
